Why Sheared exists
Many shops pour money into the room and the ads, then spend the rest of the year replacing guests who never come back. Sheared took the other road.
The team comes first. The shop believes a good chair experience starts with barbers who are actually glad to be there: people who are protected, noticed, and heard. That culture shows up in the cut.
Sheared opened to offer shear and scissor haircuts in a barbershop for guests who could not find that mix anywhere else. The salon can give a balanced scissor cut. The question was always whether it still had a barbershop touch. Here, it does.
Co-founder and CEO Dreyvon Anderson-Sanders started cutting in Houston, trained at Texas Barber College, and continued through Paul Mitchell. The specialty remains the all-scissor gentleman’s cut with a natural finish.

Two-tier pricing reflects barber experience. Tier II barbers bring more range; Tier I barbers are still held to the shop’s standard. Sundays the team keeps the ship airtight and sometimes seeks models for a free, slower, more detailed cut.

I recently moved to Houston and was looking for a new barber. I trusted the existing Google reviews and gave Sheared a try. Most importantly, the cut I received was perfect. The shop is immaculate and the service is excellent.
Sheared also does the little things right — hot towel service, straight razor on the neck, and an assortment of cocktails and coffee while you wait. You aren’t treated like a number.
When I moved to Houston it took me 9 different places to find the perfect barbershop. The haircuts and shaves are perfect, but the best part is the service. I found a home away from home.

Where to park
Free lot across Elgin
Free parking is on the corner of Fannin and Elgin Street, just across Elgin from the Interfaith Ministries / W.T. & Louise J. Moran Building.
The same lot sits directly across the street from the shop entrance. Look for the PMC parking lot sign. No payment is required. Scan the QR code on either sign and choose the free 1-hour or 2-hour option.
Please arrive a few minutes early. There is a ten-minute grace period; later than that may be treated as a no-show.
